Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are provided by Spokane Mold Inspection LLC ("Spokane Mold Inspection"). They cover the text messages we send to customers and prospective customers in Washington and Idaho, and sit alongside our privacy policy.

SMS Terms

Spokane Mold Inspection LLC sends text messages only to people who opt in. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help, or call (509) 355-0038.

Consent is separate and optional

We text you only after you opt in. There are three ways that happens: you check the consent box on our booking form, you text us first, or you tell us on the phone or in person to use text for your job and we record that.

Two checkboxes appear on the booking form and neither is checked for you.

The first covers messages about your job: scheduling and confirmations, appointment reminders, notice that your lab results are ready, and replies to questions you send us. The second is optional and covers seasonal reminders and educational messages. You can accept one, both or neither.

Consenting to text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us. You can book an inspection, get your report and pay your invoice without ever agreeing to a text message. Decline the box and we will use phone and email.

What we send

• Scheduling and confirmations. Proposed times, confirmation of the appointment you chose, and notice if something changes.
• Appointment reminders. Typically the day before and the morning of.
• Report and lab notifications. A message when your results are back and where to find the report.
• Replies. If you text us a question, we text you back.
• Seasonal and educational messages, only if you checked the second box.

How often

Message frequency varies and depends on what is happening with your job. A typical single inspection produces a handful of messages across a week or two. We do not send daily messages and we do not send bulk blasts to people who only wanted their lab results.

Cost

We do not charge for text messages. Message and data rates may apply, and those are set by your mobile carrier rather than by us. If you are unsure what your plan covers, ask your carrier.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and after that we will not text you again. The other recognised words are END, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL and QUIT.

Opting out of text messages does not cancel your inspection and does not affect anything else. We will simply reach you by phone or email instead, including about a job already in progress.

If you opt out and later want messages again, text START or ask us and we will note the new consent.

Your mobile information is not shared

This matters enough to state on its own.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or the messaging platform that actually delivers the texts, is permitted so that the messages can reach you at all. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, and this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell contact information. We do not trade it to remediation contractors, and that is the same commitment we make about our inspection findings. See why we do not remediate.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier's network and on conditions we do not control.

Devices and numbers

Tell us if your mobile number changes or you stop using the number you gave us, so that messages about your job do not reach someone else. You can update it by calling or by replying to any message.

Changes

If we change these terms we will update this page and change the date below. Material changes to what we send or how often will be described here rather than buried.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to agree to texts to book an inspection? No. Consent to text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us. The checkboxes on the booking form are optional and unchecked by default. Decline them and we will use phone and email for everything, including your report.

Do texts cost me anything? We do not charge for them. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan, and those are set by your carrier rather than by us.

I replied STOP but I still want my report. What happens? You still get your report. Opting out only affects text messages. We will send the report by email and call you if anything needs discussing.
